200 WAYS TO REBRAND AFRICA
200 WAYS TO REBRAND AFRICA
OUR FIRST MEMBERS TAKE UP THE 2015 TRIBAL CALL
As all those who were part of We Are Africa 2014 know, our tribe represents more than just a trade show delegation or even a meeting of business minds. Whilst the discovery of hidden gems and opportunity to forge relationships are key, the real value of our marketplace lies in our ambition to unite those individuals with a fierce passion, intelligence and intent to rebrand Africa as a modern, progressive and inspiring continent. The show may only last one week, but this shared determination to promote Africa is what sets our tribe apart and keeps them connected throughout the year.
A few months after our first edition concluded, the impact and growth of this collective promise to Africa is evident in the speed with which a mix of new and returning exhibitors and buyers have committed for 2015. Just six weeks after opening sales, and despite the fact that every member of our guest list is carefully selected to reflect our tribal purpose, we have already welcomed over 107 buyers and 104 exhibitors to the next iteration of our tribe.
This early boom of dynamic, passionate brands includes founding members such as The Collection by Liz McGrath, Chem Chem Safaris, The Royal Portfolio and The Saxon Hotel, Villas & Spa; alongside newcomers such as Makakatana Bay Lodge and Middle Africa. As the message behind our movement gathers momentum and reaches further afield, we are also preparing to welcome new buyers from diverse global markets including Seoul, Kenya, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Andorra, Ukraine and Saudi Arabia.
With each passing week and each new member that responds to the call to rebrand Africa, our tribal imprint grows stronger. Only those who truly reflect these aspirations will be selected to join these first 200 for 2015: to view last year’s members and see if you have the qualities to join the movement to rebrand African travel, go to the tribe
